STUART WEISS

I remember going up to a piano when I was about 5 and being able to
pick out tunes by ear.  Took piano lessons from about 7 years old till 14; didn’t really appreciate the foundation that lessons gave me till much later.

I saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan and knew that I had to be in a
band, I was 12!  My first band experience didn’t occur till a few years
later, after much begging and pleading my father bought me a farfisa portable organ and amp.

Played throughout college - and into early adulthood- then came the
family- business- and lack of time and ability to meet musicians.  Since
selling my business, I have been able to meet great people to play music with again, I never stopped playing but it is far more enjoyable doing it with other people-

Influences are so many, but I think my love of music comes from my
father, a sax and clarinet player. I grew up in a house where music was played live; parties at our house were events I never missed because the music was  great.

I still enjoy going to concerts and I appreciate the energy of live
music.
